2013 NCAA Championship Wallpapers (1 for each player that saw action)

It has been almost a week, and it still hasn’t set in. I was there, I saw it happen, and it still isn’t real yet. On Monday I didn’t only get to see my beloved Cardinals win the first National Championship of my life time, I got to live it. I had to take some time off to let everything hit, and it still hasn’t done that. I’ve watched the replay, I’ve watched endless highlights, I still get chills every time Trezl throws down the oop. Maybe this time next year it will all feel like real life.

Enough with the sappy stuff, lets move on to the wallpapers. I decided to go through a make a wallpaper for each player (that saw action in the tourney) with a similar theme. I would have liked to have included everyone, as I know they all played a roll, but I couldn’t find pictures of some of the guys. This is the first of many wallpapers I will be posting celebrating our 3rd Title, so stay tuned for the rest.

Win 4 Ware Wallpaper

The world watched on Sunday as the Louisville Cardinal made another stop on the revenge tour to play the Duke Blue Devils. Basketball fans across the country tuned in hoping to see another great match up between the 2 power houses, with the winning earning a sport in Atlanta for the FInal Four. Those fans saw more than just a basketball game, they saw a group of young men that are more than a basketball team. In the 1st half Kevin Ware went down with a horrific injury, the worst that I’ve seen in sports, but it was what happened following the injury that deserves the headlines.

Moments after watching their teammate, their brother, break his leg the Louisville Cardinals had 2 choices; get distracted and lose the game or win for Kevin Ware. Ware called the team over and told them to win. Don’t worry about him, but win the game. Tears were dried away, emotions checked, and the remaining Cardinals did what Kevin said, they won the game. We have all read countless stories recapping the events of that day, but the boys have work to do for Ware. We have a few days before we are back on the court, and hopefully this can adorn your background leading up to the big game. And hopefully, we can Win 4 Ware.

Stephan Van Treese Wallpaper

Stephan Van Treese is a name that a lot of people outside of the UofL fan base may not know, but he is playing a big roll in the teams recent success. Van Treese was set the transfer over the off season but things worked out and he was able to stay, he is making the most of the opportunity. He has provided a spark off the bench, and is seemingly around the ball on every miss. He isn’t a guy that is going to fill up the stat sheet, but he brings more to the table than what shows up on the box score. I think we can all agree that SVT has become a fan favorite, and rightfully so. I haven’t done many wallpaper of Mr. Van Treese over the years, so here is a much deserved wallpaper.

Gorgui Dieng Wallpaper

Gorgui Dieng doesn’t always put up the biggest numbers, but he is a huge reason the Cardinals are at the top of the polls. He does what the teams needs him to do, block shots and rebound. He has shown an improved offensive skill set when needed and always plays hard. Tomorrow is Dieng’s birthday, so I thought it was a good time to put out my newest wallpaper. Gorgui is a great ambassador for the university, and there is no one more deserving of a new wallpaper (which is the highest honor).

UofL Logo Wallpaper (desktop and iPhone)

It has been a while since I posted a logo wallpaper, so I thought now was as good a time as any. This one is simple (like my other logo wallpapers), but I really like the way it turned out. It has a retro feel to it, with the stripes and the grungy texture. I did one for your desktop as well as your iPhone, with the only difference being the skyline on the desktop version. Teddy Bridgewater Sugar Bowl Wallpaper

Teddy Bridgewater was not only instrumental to getting UofL to the 2013 All State Sugar Bowl, he was also one of the many reasons they pulled off the biggest upset is BCS history. After getting hit illegally on his first drop of the game, Teddy came back and hit Florida right back. He ended the game throwing for 2 touchdowns and 266 yards, and took home the MVP trophy. Bridgewater will be back under center next year, and looking to lead the Cards to an even bigger victory in January.

I had to take a break from the Sugar Bowl wallpapers to show some love to a company that has always supported my work. Big Time Yurts is an apparel company based out of Louisville that creates the most original/creative UofL clothing you’ll find. From the Lexington Is For The Birds billboard, to the #FBBN shirts, BYT always does it big. Recently there has been some people/companies trying to piggy back off their success, which lead to me create this wallpaper. If you don’t know what BYT is, do yourself a favor and click right…. Devante Parker Sugar Bowl Wallpaper

Devante Parker has been one of the most exciting players to watch on this UofL football team, he continuously makes the big plays. When in the redzone I would toss it up to Devante every time, and 9 times out of 10 he would come down with it (and that is with me throwing it). His TD grab in the Sugar Bowl was not only a great catch, but it summed up what he has done for this team all season. This is my first wallpaper for Mr. Parker, but definitely not the last. Take a look and let me know what you think. I will have more Sugar Bowl wallpapers coming in the next week or so, stay tuned.

2013 Sugar Bowl Champion Wallpaper (Desktop and iPhone)

Last night the world watched as the Louisville Cardinal go into the 2013 Sugar Bowl expecting to watch the #3 Florida Gators run them off the field. That expectation may have been tempered a bit 15 seconds into the game when Terell Floyd intercepted the first pass of the game and took it back for 6. The Cardinals continued to shock the world for the next 4 quarters and stunned the Gators with a 33-23 victory. It marks the biggest upset in BCS history, and the biggest with for this UofL program. Charlie Strong and company proved all the doubters wrong, and now have a lot of momentum going into next year. No one showed respect for the Cards going into the game, but they will now.

2012-2013 Louisville Cardinal Basketball Wallpapers (Most players represented)

It is an exciting time to be a Louisville Cardinal; The football team is going to the Sugar Bowl, Charlie Strong is staying, and the basketball team is ranked in the top 10. This set of wallpapers is to celebrate the latter, with a wallpaper for just about every player on the basketball team. I know that I’m missing a few, but they will be added as soon as I get pictures to use. If your favorite player didn’t get a wallpaper, keep checking back, because it’s coming.
